Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Contact your doctor immediately or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital if you experience any of the following symptoms, as you may need urgent medical attention:
- general hypersensitivity reaction (symptoms include a rash, severe swelling of the face, mouth or throat that makes it difficult to breathe, speak or swallow, decrease in blood pressure, slow or fast pulse, paleness, restlessness, sweating, dizziness, loss of consciousness, stopping breathing and working hearts).
The following side effects may also occur:
- erythema (severe redness of the skin),
- rash (itchy red bumps on the skin)
- hives (light pink, itchy bumps on the skin)
- local redness, itching, pimples, swelling.
If the above-mentioned symptoms occur, stop taking Clotrimazole and contact your doctor.
