Product description

The Baby Boom Pregnancy Test Cassette is used to detect hCG or human chorionic gonadotropin in urine samples for early diagnosis of pregnancy at home. This hormone is secreted after implantation of the fertilized egg in the wall of the uterus and its concentration increases with the following days. It reaches the highest concentration at the time when menstruation should occur, therefore, using the Baby Boom test, it is possible to diagnose pregnancy the day after the expected bleeding has not occurred.

In the Baby Boom pregnancy test cassette, a membrane with an absorbent strip is placed over a glass fiber strip impregnated with a colloid containing particles of gold and monoclonal antibodies against hCG. The second absorbing strip, placed on the edge of the plate, is used to absorb excess urine sample. Upon contact with the membrane, the collected urine sample dissolves the lyophilized conjugate. In a reactive sample, the hCG antigen attaches to antibodies in a colloidal solution. In the test region, anti-hCG antibodies bind to the hCG-gold conjugate complex forming a pink line. After adding another sample, a pink line also appears in the test area, the presence of which indicates that fertilization has most likely occurred. The presence of a control line indicates that the test was performed correctly.

Baby Boom cassette pregnancy test allows you to detect pregnancy as early as 7 days from fertilization.

Application

Early diagnosis of pregnancy at home by detecting the presence of the hCG hormone in the urine.

Usage

  • A pregnancy test is performed using a clean urine sample.
  • Remove the test cassette from the foil pouch and test immediately.
  • Using a pipette, collect a urine sample and place a few drops in the recess on the cassette (2-3 drops). Be careful not to overfill the absorbent pad.
  • Read the test result after 5 minutes. Depending on the level of hCG in your urine, it may take as little as 40 seconds for a positive result to appear, however you must wait the full 5 minutes to confirm the test.
  • The result read after the allotted time may be incorrect.

Interpretation of results

Positive result:

  • if two pink lines are visible, one in the control area (C) and one in the test area (T),
  • it means that the hormone hCG has been detected in your urine and you are probably pregnant,
  • the lines may be pale and vary in color intensity, but the result is mimo positive.

Negative result:

  • if the test shows one pink/purple line in the control region (C) but no line appears in the test region (T), the test result is negative,
  • it means that the hCG hormone was not detected in the urine - it may mean that you are not pregnant or you did the test too early,
  • if in doubt, repeat the test after 48 hours.

Incorrect result:

  • if no line appears, the result is invalid and the test should be repeated using a new test,
  • it can be caused by inaccurate soaking of the absorbent strip, too early or too late reading, failure to meet the reaction time.

  • accuracy ≥ 99.9%,
