Product description

Clotrimazole ziaja #ziaja" target="_blank" style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;color:#000000;" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ziaja 10 mg/g cream is a drug with local antifungal activity The active substance is clotrimazole.

After topical application of the cream, the active substance penetrates into the deeper layers of the epidermis. Clotrimazole is effective against many species of dermatophytes and yeasts. It is practically not absorbed from the skin into the bloodstream.

Indications

  • Mycoses of the skin caused by various species of dermatophytes, including mycosis of the groin, hands, feet, mycosis between the fingers, tinea versicolor.
  • Candidiasis of the skin and mucous membranes of the external genitalia.

Composition

Ingredients of the drug Ziaja Clotrimazolum

1 g of the product contains:

  • active ingredient: 10 mg clotrimazole,
  • excipients: benzyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, cetyl palmitate, octyldodecanol, cetostearyl alcohol, purified water.

Action

Antifungal.

Dosage

How to use Clotrimazole Ziaja 10 mg/g cream?

  • The affected skin surface should be lubricated with a thin layer of cream.
  • Use 2-3 times a day.
  • The average duration of treatment varies depending on the size of the lesions and their location. After the symptoms have subsided, treatment should be continued for at least 4 weeks.
  • If you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
  • Always use the medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Contraindications

Clotrimazole Ziaja 10 mg/g cream should not be used:

  • if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
  • vaginally.

Storage

  • There are no special storage temperature recommendations for the medicinal product.
  • Store in the original package in order to protect from light.
  • Keep Clotrimazole Ziaja 10 mg/g cream out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging.
  • The expiration date refers to the last day of the given month.
  • Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Clotrimazole Ziaja can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

The following may occur:

  • local irritation, discomfort, pruritus, rash, blisters, exfoliation, edema, erythema,
  • hypersensitivity reactions, oedema, skin rash, erythema, urticaria, dyspnoea, hypotension, shock.

Warnings and precautions

  • The drug applied to the mucous membranes of the external genitalia may damage contraceptives made of latex (condoms, intrauterine rings), it is not recommended to use during treatment with this drug.
  • Do not use latex contraceptives for at least 5 days after use.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
  • Clotrimazole may inhibit the action of other topically applied antifungal drugs, especially polyene antibiotics such as nystatin, natamycin. Clotrimazole weakens the therapeutic effect of amphotericin B.
  • Do not use during the first trimester of pregnancy.
  • Consult your doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Clotrimazole Ziaja contains cetostearyl alcohol.
  • The drug may cause a local skin reaction (for example, contact dermatitis).
