Natural clove oil is obtained from the flower buds and leaves of the evergreen, up to 20 m high clove tree. The clove tree is grown mainly on the islands of Zanzibar, Pemba and Madagascar. The main active ingredient of clove oil is eugenol, which has a strong bactericidal and anesthetic effect, which is why it is often used in the pharmaceutical industry. Used in the treatment of rheumatism and upper respiratory tract infections. It stimulates and clears the mind. Formerly used as afrodyzjak . The characteristic aroma and composition make natural clove oil used as a natural repellent, i.e. a means of repelling insects, especially black flies.
