Olbas oil Liquid for steam inhalation 10 ml

Olbas Oil liquid 10 ml for steam inhalation is a medicinal product containing a composition of volatile oils, which consists of: cajeput oil, clove oil, eucalyptus oil, juniper oil and peppermint oil.

Olbas Oil can be used for free or steam inhalation to relieve the runny nose associated with colds and sinusitis. Volatile oils liquefy secretion and reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa.

The medicinal preparation used externally on the skin has a cooling effect and soothes rheumatic and muscular pains.

Olbas Oil is used in children over 3 years of age, adolescents and adults:

• for inhalation during runny nose (colds and inflammation of the paranasal sinuses).

Olbas Oil is used in adults:

• externally on the skin to relieve rheumatic and muscular pains.

Olbas Oil 10 ml - composition

100 g of the product contains:

• cajuput oil 5 g, clove oil 0.1 g, eucalyptus oil 35.45 g, juniper oil 2.7 g; peppermint oil 35.45 g, methyl salicylate 3.7 g, menthol 4.1 g.

Cooling, analgesic, reducing swelling of the nasal mucosa, liquefying secretions, facilitating breathing.

Dosage of Olbas Oil 10 ml

• For inhalation during a runny nose:
  • Children 3 to 7 years : apply 2-3 drops on a tissue and administer for inhalation with a small distance; during sleep, you can drizzle a piece of fabric (e.g. a duvet cover) with 2-3 drops of the oil and place it near the child.
  • Children over 7 years of age, adolescents, adults : sprinkle a handkerchief or the back of the hand with 2-3 drops of the drug and inhale the escaping vapors. You can add a few drops to a cup of warm water to enhance the effect.
• Externally on the skin:
  • Adults: Rub a small amount of oil into painful areas up to 3 times a day.
• Close the bottle of Olbas Oil carefully after each use.
• Olbas Oil liquid 10 ml does not stain fabrics or leave greasy stains.

• Allergy to any of the ingredients of Olbas Oil.
• Allergic diseases of the respiratory system, asthma.
• Do not use in children under 3 years of age.
• Do not use externally in children and adolescents.
• Atopic dermatitis is a contraindication to external use.
• Age below 7 years is a contraindication to use in the form of inhalation with steam.

Olbas Oil liquid 10 ml should be stored out of the sight and reach of children, at a temperature below 25 °C.

Like any medicine, Olbas Oil medicinal product can cause side effects. The side effects of Olbas Oil are not known.

• Interactions with other drugs of Olbas Oil are not known.
• Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription.

• Do not apply the preparation around the face of children.
• If you experience shortness of breath, fever or purulent discharge, contact your doctor.
• Do not use orally. The ingredient of Olbas Oil - cajeput oil - contains methyleugenol, which may be mutagenic when taken orally.
• Do not use on damaged skin

• Do not use the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines

• There are no data on the effect of the preparation on the ability to drive and use machines.
